We are very pleased to reintroduce Jess. Jess will be mainly tutoring English Language and History up to GCSE level. She is a fantastic tutor and has worked with young people before, supporting them through their GCSEs.

Jess tutored a lot of young people last year and made a big impact on their academic success and confidence. She has the following 1-to-1 sessions available: Tuesday evening. Please message us to book.

Hi, I'm Jess. My passion for teaching started from my studies in Health and Social Care at GCSE, which set me on a path to gain a degree in Education with Autism, Learning Disabilities and SEND. I will focus on supporting and tutoring English Language and Literature, but I am open to supporting other subjects — just ask! I have worked across primary, secondary and special education and have 5 years of experience working with children who have EHCPs, SEMH and SEND. I also have an enhanced DBS on the updated system. Fundamentally, I just want to see pupils succeed, whether that be helping them expand their knowledge of a subject, building their confidence in exams, or helping with revision. I'm here to help!

Kirsten

Primary & GCSE Maths Tutor

Qualified teacher
Primary TuitionYear 6 SATSGCSE MathsCurriculum Support

Hi, I'm Kirsten. I am a qualified teacher and have worked in schools for over 10 years. I have worked in Early Years, supporting children from the very beginning of their education all the way up to teaching Year 6 SATS. I am also working to develop a full understanding of GCSE Maths so I can support in this area too.

I have seen the progression of learning throughout the primary years and the steps children need to take to be successful and achieve their full potential. I have a strong knowledge of the curriculums across all years and how these can be adapted to meet the needs of individual learners.

I have worked alongside many wonderful and talented professionals who have supported me to be the tutor I am today, as well as the hundreds of children I have had the pleasure of supporting and teaching, so I have plenty of experiences to draw upon. I have a genuine passion for teaching and learning new skills, and I understand that every individual learns in different ways and at different paces. I strive to make sure learners feel safe, heard, comfortable and confident within their own abilities, and inspire them to see their full potential. I believe this all starts with building strong foundations and relationships between tutor and learner, as everyone learns better when they feel happy, safe and supported. I believe that every learner, no matter their age, stage or ability, deserves the space and opportunity to feel they can achieve anything and overcome their barriers to learning with the right support. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know you all before supporting you on your learning journey.
