Hi, I'm Kirsten. I am a qualified teacher and have worked in schools for over 10 years. I have worked in Early Years, supporting children from the very beginning of their education all the way up to teaching Year 6 SATS. I am also working to develop a full understanding of GCSE Maths so I can support in this area too.
I have seen the progression of learning throughout the primary years and the steps children need to take to be successful and achieve their full potential. I have a strong knowledge of the curriculums across all years and how these can be adapted to meet the needs of individual learners.
I have worked alongside many wonderful and talented professionals who have supported me to be the tutor I am today, as well as the hundreds of children I have had the pleasure of supporting and teaching, so I have plenty of experiences to draw upon. I have a genuine passion for teaching and learning new skills, and I understand that every individual learns in different ways and at different paces. I strive to make sure learners feel safe, heard, comfortable and confident within their own abilities, and inspire them to see their full potential. I believe this all starts with building strong foundations and relationships between tutor and learner, as everyone learns better when they feel happy, safe and supported. I believe that every learner, no matter their age, stage or ability, deserves the space and opportunity to feel they can achieve anything and overcome their barriers to learning with the right support. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know you all before supporting you on your learning journey.
